Soundwave 2010!!!

Awesome line-up!!! Is anybody going or wants to go? Otherwise I'll be going by myself.

F**k! And I had just decided to buy Future Music tickets when they get released on the 21st. I can't do both. It's too many $$ and I plan on spending that in London. F-me for missing out on Frequency Festival in Austria. I would see Radiohead over Faith No More any day! But besides the big headlining act, there are heaps of bands I want to see. But geez, it's $151! Future is only $100. Soundwave is at Eastern Creek and going to filled with metal heads. Future is in Randwick and going to be filled with drunk 18 year olds.

Right now, Soundwave is winning... I hate making these life-altering decisions (and believe me they are). Nothing hurts more than missing out on seeing a band and then they never return to Australian shores. I'm terrified this is going to happen with Radiohead. I missed out on seeing Metallica in 1998 because mum wouldn't let me go. I know they toured recently, but I had no money then! At least I got to see The Smashing Pumpkins play at V Fest 2008, even if Billy Corgan did go on a massive guitar tangent during the set. It was still amazing though! And while they were playing there was a lightening storm going on behind the stage, it looked so eerie but very cool, especially inconjunction with the music.

Okay, I'll give it 1 or 2 more days and then I'll make my decision, and if anyone wants to join me feel free. Otherwise, I'm flying this one solo!

Okay should put something travel related here but I wanted to get the word out.

Leaving for Hamburg in the morning! Though it is the morning... I need to stop watching movies so late into the night. I downloaded The Sandlot Kids. That movie reminds me so much of when I was about 7, I used to love that movie and the fat, freckled redhead with the foul-mouth. Classic.

Anyway, yes Hamburg! Don't know much about the city but should be fun! I hear it has the largest red light district, even before Amsterdam so it should be a very interesting 4 days, though I don't plan on partaking in any of the shenanigans that go on in this little district.

Won't have much net access until London so this will be my last post for a while, which gives me PLENTY of things to write about next time... even if I haven't even finished writing about July.

I cannot wait unitl London. I've bookmarked all these sites about London shopping and also threads from the Vogue Forum. I also desparately need to get my eyebrows done so I have booked myself in at the brow bar at Harvey Nichols (I know!). A bit pricey, but I'm very picky about my eyebrows. I don't head all the way in to Surrey Hills and pay $30 a pop when I'm in Sydney for nothing. Having nice eyebrows is very important, just look at Sarah's experience HERE (hope you don't mind me sharing this Sarah). You poor thing, and your eyebrows have grown out now so I think it is safe for me to say how funny the whole thing was! I did feel for you though! Please don't hurt me! *ducks*

Also chosen where to get my rad new 'do' at, seeing Liam Finn in concert and plan on buying tickets to see Wicked and Billy Elliot. What else.... I want to hit up a lot of pubs, bars and clubs and for the rest of the time just walk around and take it all in. Ahhhh, London. *huge smile just thinking about it*

Okay, now I have something nice to dream about and in saying that, I'm off to sleep!

Gute nacht!

  1. Lol. Post away. I guess it was sort of funny. You know, the loss of my DIGNITY and all...

  2. Hey, I locked myself in a bathroom and had to scream the whole hostel down to be rescued, so don't give me that about dignity. Your eyebrows look fab now, though... love you!

  3. I just love this sentence, "Wasn't really thinking about the fact that I'm leaving today. Just that I was leaving something behind in Australia - MY FUCKING EYEBROWS."

Please become a comedic writer. Please. I think you'd make a great comedic playwriter.
