Sooo....I made it!

Never a doubt in my mind! *cheeky smile* I spoke to one of the British  Airways cabin crew about me not liking flying so much and he was sooo lovely and patient. Took the time to chat with me before take off, during the flight to check on me and then before landing - just to explain the noises, what is happening, how safe flying is etc etc etc. He also spoke to the other cabin crew and the pilot! He really went above and beyond, he obvously loves his job! So I'm going to write a letter to British Airways commending his efforts. I don't know his name (and he was wearing a name tag!) but I can just give them my flight number, date, time and a description. People like that make me smile. :-)

Anyway, I feel a lot better about flying. I was watching all the planes take off and land from the airport window before I boarded and it was so routine. Plane lands and then taxis off, plane takes off, plane lands and taxis off, plane takes off... the planes that land and take off obviously do this in different directions. And the BA guy was like, "If I didn't think this job was safe, I wouldn't do it." Logical enough.

But now I'm exhausted. Vanessa has a lot of really fun things planned for the next few days before she takes off for Sydney, including a trip to a dance class which will be nice! But now I'm off for a nap.

London is good. Life is good. :-)

And I'm such a loser, I realised why no one could comment on my blog and it's because I had the settings all wrong! Okay, Brendan, all fixed!
